Managing Director at Adaptive Lab
Internet | London, United Kingdom, GB
I run a Product Development and Innovation company called Adaptive Lab. If you were to make a fruit smoothie of design thinking, lean startup methods and dropped in a condensed shot of explosive tech capability you’d be tasting something a little bit like us.
We started in 2009 and are a beautifully formed family of 14 (at time of writing in Oct 2013) consisting of Product Managers, Designers and Engineers. We partner with companies that want to dominate in their industry and are lucky enough to work with some very early stage but ambitious companies as well as some much better known companies like ASOS, Barclays, Pearson and YouGov …. who are also equally ambitious. We say that we like to help large companies act like small ones again and small ones get big.
At Adaptive Lab my role is to chart an exciting path for our great company, build and lead a crew of impressive and inspiring problem solvers and product builders and seek out ambitious entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who want to shake things up. I also frequently do the coffee round and tinker with the product vision for our clients when allowed.
Before Adaptive Lab I was fortunate to work for a range of small businesses which meant I never did exactly what my job title said and was exposued to a far wider range of challenges and opportunities than I would have had at a larger company. This saw me getting exposure to VC fund raising barely out from university, persuading hot upcoming bands to play for free at flash gigs, building Facebook apps for 10 Downing Street and twitter apps for ITV and the FA cup final.
Always interested in connecting with people and helping make connections so please do connect and get in touch. Oh and especially do if you want to work with London’s hottest skunkworks for hire!
